I found Planet Risk because I was listening to Declarations of War (#8 I think) podcast to see If he was worth voting for on the CSM. Alekseyve mentioned his upcoming interview on the Planet Risk show.
Oh, here's a Shout out for my former corpmate Estar!

Very happy my choice is now on the CSM panel. Well done to you sir.
As for voter turn out ,I think more people would have voted if they could have Voted IN GAME.
Peoples time is precious and we are also lazy.
so if you make it easyer for them without having to leave game I think more would have voted. Just my tuppence worth.

Well done again. do us all proud.

I'm more ticked off by the word selection. "Blank Vote" or "None of the above" would work better. "Abstinence" means "to not participate", but by going to the page and taking part in the election process, even if you click the "Abstain" button you are essentially NOT abstaining, which is an oxymoron.

I come from Greece which is still a highly political country and high citizen participation in elections, and in each election blank votes, invalid votes or abstinence from the whole process are all considered to be very loud political statements but each one with a very distinct and different meaning.

I think that the option to abstain is very important. It lets voters democratically state that they do not find any of the candidates to their liking or that they disapprove of the process.

I'm not too shocked that the turnout was poor, really... The last CSM seemed, to me at least, so lax in publishing its Minutes with CCP; that I myself was far from excited at the prospect of voting again...

I did vote however, on all four accounts, and I'm glad to see that both of the people I split my votes between made it into your list, above...

I just hope they do as good a job of staying in touch with the player-base, as they do with CCP.

I'm not too tripped out about the lack of voter turnout. I guess here in US - it's about what you would expect.

I would like to see reasonable effort made toward increasing CSM visibility but making it a high priority? I think you would get diminishing returns - a reasonable effort would be the most value for what you will probably get in regards to historical low voter turnout.

I too am pleased that the candidate of my choice is now sitting in a CSM seat. And I will be following CSM more closely and adding my opinions on CSM forums - grandiose as mine our - should add flavor.

I nearly missed this in and amongst all the Dominion goodness.

Personally I'm pleased as I voted this time, and feel as though my vote has counted for something as my candidate has done very well indeed.

It was worth the research amongst the candidates although CCP should invest more in a "Candidate matcher" as the Facebook one was rough at best and a decent, unbiased one would surely increase the voter turnout.

Well, that is some welcome news to discover during my lunch break! Many congrats to MY candidates of choice and all the ones who earned a place on the council.

Now let's see if all our discussion and debate on the forums will make a difference in how frequently they communicate with the player base and how well they manage our expectations when bottlenecks in the release of info occur.
