It is at this time that SI Radio would like to put an end to any rumors that its Director Quivering Palm’s extended absence is due to his entry into a drug rehabilitation program.  Rumors of Quivering Palm being seen gallivanting about Lisbon and other western European cities arm in arm with surgically enhanced strippers while intoxicated beyond belief is plain false.  That the most recent rumors that Quivering Palm has failed to pay bills due to spending all his Euros on drugs and women, and has been recently evicted from his penthouse in Greece is a travesty and slanderous!

I can assure you that his absence from the confines of internet spaceships and radio broadcasting was a planned part of the summer hiatus that has been previously reported.

It is the position of SI Radio and Quiver Palm not to comment on these or future rumors.

Greetings my fellow corp men and women (& blog readers)!!!

Agatir here again… As one corpmate stated, “It was bound to happen.”

Most of you know that SI Radio has found a new “home” in a small pocket of 0.0 in Providence under the sovereignty control of Noir. Mercenary Group. (NMG.) As such we rent the ability to live and use the areas under their control for a “small” fee. Along with SI Radio there are a few other renters who inhabit the same systems. The majority of folks here have been enjoying the pocket’s military upgrades to farm anomalies and signatures. As you can expect, it is not uncommon to warp into a site only to find that it is already being pillaged. So you pick another site and warp off. Some of these sites are 6/10 and 10/10 complexes. Such sites have the ability to produce some really nice loot items, of the True Sansha variety. So there is some competition to race to the more lucrative sites. It is to be expected.

Since our arrival, SI Radio has lived in relative peace with its new found neighbors, but as my corpmate quote hinted to… it was only a matter of time before some feathers got ruffled.

As I log into game, yesterday evening, and make my customary salutations, I am greeted with folks telling me NOT to undock! This puzzled me, as there were only blues in system. Suspecting there may be a 20 man roaming gang running through the pocket, I inquired to what was going on? I was informed that we just had a friendly fire incident with our neighbors, in an adjacent system, in a 10/10 complex, and fingers were being pointed back and forth on who shot who first! To further complicate things both sides were claiming that THEY had got to complex first.

WOOT!!! Our first diplomatic crisis! I wasn’t sure if SI Radio even had diplomats other than Luminous or Quivering Palm (QP) and they are just talk show hosts! Luckily QP had just got online, so things were being discussed in some chat channel.

As this is a blog, and not a novel… I’ll just give the quick recap of what was passed in corp chat.

Our Guy > We didn’t shoot first.

QP> He says that you did.

Our Guy> I got the logs to prove it.

QP> He says that he has a screen shot & logs to prove it.

QP>Wow he is really mad.

Our Guy> Yeah I trying to stay diplomatic but how can you when they talk like that?

Our Guy> Yep. He is just mad that we were here first.

QP> Were you?

Our Guy> Yes, we had to warp out and when we warped back in they were there, but we had wrecks all over.

Our Guy> He is claiming that it was his escalation.

Agatir Solenth> Um… guys is it me or is the first thing listed in that screen shot a combat message showing him shooting our drones? Then our drones shoot him?

Our Guy> Yep Agatir. He attacked our drones. They must have been set to aggressive and they attacked him.

QP> He must have been mad because you guys got there first? Did you guys blow his ship up?

Our Guy> No

QP> Then what is he bitching about?

Agatir Solenth>*SHRUG*

So… no blood no foul? I think everyone agreed to go their separate ways, and it was reinforced by our landlords (NMG.) that it is first come first serve on all sites in the pocket. I thought it a fair solution all around.

And in the end I got to test my Abby’s tank against the final room of a 10/10 complex and help my corp score a Nightmare Blueprint! ;p

Greetings my fellow corp men and women (& blog readers)!!!

I am Agatir Solenth (or Ag if you prefer). It has come to my attention that the Planet Risk Show is on the verge of being removed from the Blog Pack for lack of posting activity! As Quivering Palm & Luminus Aardokay have been overwhelmed by real life events (like answering fan mail, drinking beer, or chasing half naked girls on the beaches of Greece) I felt it my duty to step up and blog about the recent events surrounding SI Radio’s move to Providence.

It has been almost two months since I joined the ranks of SI Radio, and I can tell you that flying with these guys has been as much fun as listening to the Planet Risk Show Podcast. It isn’t that we have been super successful. We have had some “epic fail” attempts at PvP. We have gotten suckered into a RP event that turned out to be PvP trap (POP went my Geddon). Our wormhole operations have had limited success due to poor spawn rates in our 0.0 pocket.

What has been really successful is the chemistry of the guys who I fly with. As Quivering Palm and Luminus Aardokay have said again and again on their Podcasts, we are bunch of Carebears that have graduated to Noobs! We have as much fun losing ships as we do shooting them. This has made it a lot of fun to go out and try to learn this thing called PvP, and I for one, have become very good at losing ships! It would appear that we are a collection of beer drinking guys that like to fly internet spaceships. Most of us began our careers in EVE mission running and/or doing the industrial trade thing, and got our first taste of PvP in wormhole space.

That being said… what you can expect from my future reports will be snippets of our exploits and failures, lessons I have learned along the way, and my thoughts about EVE in general.

Good.. now that I have your attention… I can proceed with the actual content of this post =)

The more ambitious a project is, the harder it disappoints when it doesn’t come to fruition. As such, it so seems that pod pilots are too scared (or maybe too lazy) to record themselves talking about Planetary Interaction while imitating Quiv and me. Not a single submission.. /emoragequit…

Maybe you guys are filthy rich and don’t need any more ISKies, but we still have 5 PLEX to give out, and since the pen is mightier than the sword (or in this case, the keyboard is mightier than the microphone), we are not only extending the competition until the end of the month, but we’re also changing the rules a bit. So..

- Either record yourself talking OR write something about  Planetary Interaction. Once again, the content can be anything. Review, Guide, Rant, Fiction or Cookie recipes.

- Send it to qna@planetriskshow.com

- Deadline is on May 31^st

- All entries will be played/read aloud on the June 2^nd show. The authors of the best 5 will win themselves a PLEX each.

- Singing is not forbidden (heaven forbid…)

- In the event that we don’t get enough submissions, all remaining PLEX will be donated to the FFFFFFF (Federal Fund for Fedo Freedom Fighter’s Families)

But for those of you who exceed the sane levels of fandom (or those who’d just like to pocket a PLEX for their toon) while you’re waiting eagerly for Tyrannis to launch, we’re offering you the opportunity to be even more like us and put your voice out there about the upcoming Planetary Interaction… literally.

What you need to do

Record yourself talking for a maximum of 5 minutes. In that recording you should:

1. Talk about Planetary Interaction. It can be a review, an insight, a rant, a prophecy, a guide, a story or whatever
2. Impersonate Luminus Aardokay or Quivering. It could be a voice imitation, style, inflections, poor grammar, lousy pronunciation, bad puns or anything that makes you sound like.. uh.. us =)
3. Try to be funny. We are. Or at least we think we are =)

You can produce the clip if you so wish, adding sound effects or even music, but in the case of music since we are going to play all submitted clips on our show and podcast you can only use EVE’s music as well as the EVE Project tracks by AlienHand. Save it as an .mp3 (44khz 128kbs 16bits Stereo will suffice) and send your submission to qna@planetriskshow.com.

All submissions must come in by May 18^th. We’ll play all of them on May 19^th‘s Tyrannis special show and the 5 clips we deem to be the best will each win their authors a PLEX. Make sure to include your pilot’s name in the mail.

Well, we evolved alright. But evolving doesn’t necessarily mean excluding all the elements that characterized us as “carebears”. Those elements played a vital role on the shaping of our game style. What I am trying to say here is that we still do carebear stuff. And I am proud to say that I like it. So I was surprised to see that the “Shameless Recruiting Post” entry didn’t include any references to the option of mining in 0.0. Now from this point on I’ll try to convince you to join me in mining operations in the Providence Region under the flag of SI Radio Corp.

Considering that I’ve done mining ops in high sec, low sec, null sec and w-space, I believe that I am an experienced miner. For the past year my corpmates and I have been mining stranded in w-space, spamming directional and hoping that we could either be fast enough to spot a probe on the endless list of items that appear as scan results, or that CCP would some day in add probes to overview and save us time and money. But the list thing never worked, and the overview thing never came. And then Rooks and Kings included themselves into the equation and a volcano exploded in Iceland. So what happened is we came to 0.0 space, but you know that already cause you are following the blog and/or the show (If you are not then you should start looking for a new search engine cause the one you use, got you into a blog for an MMORPG with spaceships) . Anyways, while everyone in my corp was fitting ships to go do ratting, anomalies, pvp and other 0.0 stuff, the first thing I did was to take my covops and fly 100km away from the first Asteroid Belt I could find. And there they were! Concentrated, dense, condensed, massive, solid, rich, silvery…O-M-G. Those we cannot find in w-space! Oh and look…What is that thing in local? Portraits? THIS IS AWESOME, I GOT LOCAL AGAIN!!1! We can now mine without the fear of being victims of surprise butt-rape! Needless to say, at that point I jizzed in my pod.

If you are still reading this and making fun of me for talking about carebear stuff, calling your friends and asking them to post photos of nerdy guys in the comment section of this post and entitle them  “You must look like this” you should stop now cause I am familiar with the martial arts and I’ll find you and kick your ass! Ok, maybe not, but still, stop…

Then I turned to my teammates and said “Guys, I think I’d like to go do some mining now, anyone interested in doing some hauling for me and clearing the belts of rats?” Replies to my request varied from: “Go die in a fire you damn carebear faggot” to “Kick, Ban, Kill” and “Oh wait you are serious? Let me laugh even harder”. And I know the guys in real life. I can kick most of their ass as well (martial arts etc, remember?).

Anyways, point is that since all my corpmates have abandoned me between huge asteroid and the benefit of not losing 25% of the minerals to the carbon monoxide that the Refining Array of a POS unleashes into space I am honored to announce that we will be recruiting miners as well because I want to! Fuck Yeah! So here is what you need to know:

Requirements:

• You need to be a mining barge pilot that can at least fly a retriever. If you bring a mining battleship in one of my operations I will seek you and I will destroy you in real life after I pay Noir to kill you in game. Don’t even think about it…there is no “but”. THERE IS NO “BUT”!
• You need to be willing to participate in mining operations in 0.0 space
• You need to be willing to maximize your yield by training in order to able to use all the mining crystals and getting Astrogeology and Mining at V. Also Mining Upgrades skill should be trained. Mining Drone skills are optional.
• You need to like mining. Don’t apply as a miner while hoping that I can teach you my martial art techniques, it will never happen.
• You need to be friendly and have a good attitude towards all members of the corporation
• You do not need to be a main character to join. Alt characters are also welcome, provided that you are active.
• Boobs are a plus…no, not man-boob, if you got them keep that info for yourself.
• You need to know how to align at a station and how to check local for reds…
• Also a plus is to watch TV series and have a second monitor in order to  do so when mining. It helps the time go faster if it is 5 o’clock in the morning and no-one is online for you to talk to.

What we offer:

• All of the things that Quivering mentioned in the “Shameless Recruiting Post” blog entry. Yes, Corp will provide you with an insured mining ship and the mining crystals you will be needing.
• No you are not only wanted for your mining skills. Our corporation activities will be open to you as will any solo stuff that the Providence Region can provide including anomalies, pvp, or whatever else you can think of.

What we need from you:

• Send an eve-mail to Merinid Dormer, with a statement or a picture or whatever. no man-boobs please.
• User ID and Limited API key in order to check your skills, cause otherwise I risk my mental health when you land on grid with a mining Hyperion and say to me “I need to know what rock you want me to hit first? I got Miner I, Mining Drones, Expanded Cargohold II and I also managed to include  a Bucket Of Epic Fail in my fitting. Hooray I am a miner, awesome”.
• Be available for an interview with Merinid Dormer through Eve-Voice (date and time will be arranged through eve-mail).

Recruitment will officially open May 1st. Applications before that time are also welcome, but we won’t be able to accept anyone until May 1st.

This is not an invitation to miners only, this is the extended version of the invitation we have already posted. I haven’t posted anything in the blog for a while and I know you missed me.
