A Change of Seasons

    [...]
    We can learn
    From the past
    But those days
    Are gone
    We can hope
    For the future
But there might not be one
    [...]
So far or so it seems
    All is lost
    With nothing fulfilled
    Off the pages and the
    T.V. screen
    Another world
    Where nothing’s true
    Tripping through
    The life fantastic
    Lose a step
    And never get up
    Left alone
    With a cold blank stare
    I feel like giving up
I was blinded by a paradise
    Utopia high in the sky
A dream that only drowned me
    Deep in sorrow, wondering why
    [...]
Seasons change and so can I
    Hold on Boy
    No time to cry
    Untie these strings
    I’m climbing down
I won’t let them push me away

Dream Theater – A Change of Seasons

It’s been a really tough couple of months for the corp, being kicked out of our system, losing roughly 25bil ISK in assets and having half our folks logoffskied for weeks in a hostile territory that used to be our home, until we could find them an exit…

It’s true what they say… What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger!

We are back baby!!

Tune in this Wednesday, 20:00 EVE time on the Planet Risk show (or get the recorded podcast if you can’t make it into the live) and listen to what happened in the final part of Planet Risk’s evacuation, what we did while we shamelessly didn’t do any shows or blogged about anything and also to learn what our next big bold move is.

Who knows? It might hold something interesting for you too!

Quick Update

w00t! I can see the site appearing again and that makes me a happy panda. DNS servers are back up and that means that you can now access the site once again.

We seem to have solved the server issues we had over the past few days… and just in the nick of time as it seems. CrazyKinux is revisiting the EVE Online Blog Pack (if you are reading this blog in your Capsuleer app on your iPhone then you probably are already aware of it) and we’d like you to go over there and show your support.

Regardless of whether we make it to the next version of the Blog Pack, we’ll continue to blog and write guides and all, so no worries there – we do this because we love doing it :-)

I know we haven’t been blogging extensively over the past couple of weeks, but we had quite a few things to deal with. Fortunately, there will be a new corp-member who will start blogging here soon enough, so you’ll be hearing more from the industrialist’s life in wspace.

You will hear all about the Valentine’s Day Massacre – some of you already heard about from various rumors circulating in wspace colonists channel.

Yep, we’ve had a full-blown siege and capital fight in Planet Risk – and we’ll be talking all about it in the upcoming show – this Wednesday 24th of Feb – 21:00 eve time on siradio.fm

stay tuned!

SI Radio PVP Tournament #2

Alright friends and foes of Split Infinity Radio!

I’ve come up with quite a crazy idea last night… But before I can start planning, I want to share a glimpse of what I’ve thought about with you…

How about we organized a special PVP Tournament, open to everyone, with some really cool prizes and a chance to fight against everyone?… well not only the drunken duo of the Planet Risk show, but also against other folks… fellow listeners of SI Radio… Split Infinity Radio DJs… and their friends… and their friends’ friends’… and their enemies… hehehe

A test of player dog-fight skills and ability to fight under stress – with lots of other pilots around you, watching.. and waiting.. for their turn…

Here is what I’ve come up with so far:

  1. We (Split Infinity Radio) organize and sponsor a PVP Tournament.
  2. There is some sort of entry fee and your ship would have to meet specific requirements (see below)
  3. Everyone who signs up, at the date of the tournaments has to be at a specific system / specific time where the tournament will take place!
  4. The PVPes who signed up will be placed on single-elimination 1vs1 rounds, randomly and would get to fight against our special guests as well as SI Radio members!
  5. Winner takes some cool prizes away with the trophy!

Rules:

You will have to fit and come with a Tech 1 Ship, using only! Tech 1 Meta – 0 modules!

No Named, No faction / deadspace / officer / Tech 2 or anything other – down to the bare minimum! Rigs are allowed.

Ships I am thinking of are Frigates or Cruisers – what do you think?!?!

Check out the poll section on the right – vote!

CSM Debate Live: Round 2

Following on the success of the first round of the CSM candidates debate, we have fast organized the second round.

Coming up this Wednesday, November 11th at 21:00 EVE time on the Planet Risk Show, CSM candidates will battle it out by presenting themselves and their platform, answering to questions posed by the Planet Risk show hosts, other candidates, and finally the listeners.

The candidates that so far have reserved a spot for this round are:

Alekseyev Karrde
Herschel Yamamoto
Stormaxe Titanothere

During the show, listeners will have the chance to discuss the performance of the  candidates in the “CSM DEBATE” channel in-game, where they will also pose their questions during the fourth part of the debate.

The debate will be broadcast live on Split Infinity Radio.

PS: If you are unfamiliar with the CSM concept we strongly urge you to get acquainted with it. It’s in every one’s best interest to get the right people in the council, and through this ensure that we’ll eventually get a better gaming experience. Remember to vote and spread the word of awareness to your “neighbors” in New Eden.

CSM Debate Live: Round 1

Tonight on the Planet Risk Show we are going to put the five first CSM candidates on the stand and bombard them with questions. Questions coming from us and questions coming from you the listeners. And if that was not enough, we are putting them against each other by posing their own questions to each other.

On this round, CSM candidates TeaDaze, Song Li, Helen Highwater and Mike Azariah will introduce themselves to the public, present their platform and try to convince you to vote for them.

Coming to you live at 21:00 EVE Time, be in channels SIRADIO and CSM Debate and be prepared to fire your own questions.

CSM Elections on-air

Don't forget to voteToday is the day that New Eden should rejoice as the submission boxes for CSM candidacy are closing and we are about to enter the pre-electoral process for the 4th time. We could go on rambling why getting involved in the whole CSM deal and remembering to vote is super important, but we’ll just say that the CSM manages to convey the voice of the players to CCP and gets things done. The skill training queue is one of CSM’s biggest successes.

With that in mind we urge you to vote, but at the same time we urge you to vote for the candidate that really has a carefully planned out agenda and reflects your views the best.  Having that in mind, we are extending an invitation to any CSM candidate who wants to express their views and their political agenda on our show, as we will soon be organizing a series of live debates.

If you are a CSM candidate and you are interested, send us an e-mail. If you know of a CSM candidate, then point them to this post. May the best pilots win.
