Episode 5 coincided with our Alliance Tournament 7 First Round recap, as guest expert and tournament commentator TeaDaze joined us for the full 3 hours of the show giving us his expert insight on everything tournament and then some. Alongside TeaDaze, Alekseyev Karrde, CEO of the Noir. Merc alliance jumped on the bandwagon and shared some interesting views regarding the tournament so far, as well as giving us a rundown of what it entails to be a mercenary. We also discussed last week’s siege on Planet Risk by Shadow of xXDEATHXx and how we managed to fend it off. War Childe of the Podded Podcast fame couldn’t make it on this episode, but he’s going to be with us on the next one.
Episode 5 includes a special reward to those who will listen to the full show =)

Your poll hasn’t got a “none of the above” option.
Cyno access, permanent wormholes, clone vats, and ice fields would lessen risk and increase convenience associated with anchoring a tower in a Jx, but we should ask why we want that. The easier the money is, the more people will be looking to stick their noses into wormhole systems *looking* for easy money. The risk is what makes the reward so high, and what makes the endeavor so much fun, and the high likelihood of solitude doesn’t hurt either. When I go into a wormhole, I love the feeling of being this close to getting cut off and lost almost more than the thought of how much nanoribbons sell for. If wormhole settlers aren’t happy taking on that much risk, they shouldn’t be out here.
Wormholes are attractive as an *alternative* to nullsec – the industrial applications, the size and skill of groups that can exploit them, and the metamechanics are almost entirely different from 0.0 warfare. Adding any of the above (or sovereignty, or moon mining) would only serve to make it more like 0.0, and probably more attractive to 0.0 alliances. Who wants them trying to keep us out of W-space too?
I guess I have no complaints with Class 7s. What kind of ships would you have to take IN there, though? The mind boggles.

Thank you for you input Lunaran. Essentially that’s what I’ve been talking about during the show. Things like that would make wormholes the “poor man’s nullsec”. Although I would love to see some kind of sovereignty, for all those of people who’ve spent a long time colonizing systems.

Hi, guys awesome podcast loving it, the drunken rants are awesome. Really enjoy it being three hours long makes the work day go by faster. One question this episode had awesome songs on there, i know you list the songs you play but they are proving hard to find them on the internet any good place that you know of to find them.

Howdy Holmag, and I’m glad you enjoy the show =) We love the drunken rants as well ehehehe.
All songs we play during the show (except the EVE tracks we play on the background when we talk) are from demoscene artists. You can find tons of awesome music (and visuals) over at http://www.pouet.net
Additionally, I’d advise you to check out on what the demoscene is if you don’t know over at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demoscene
Catch you in-game =)
