Luminus,

Thanks for the advice. I also found this website

http://www.demovibes.org/dv_info.htm

which has ready made compilation CDs you can download.

Love the show, it might even tempt this carebear into W-Space one day.

Hello JohnLewis,

All of the music that we play on the Planet Risk Show (with the exception of the background tunes which are composed by Jon Halur and are part of the EVE Online game and are freely available on www.eveonline.com, and several parody tracks created by Curzon Dax) comes from "demos" and the general community surrounding them called the "demoscene".

Demos are non-interactive programs that display animated graphics (usually in 3d) along with music, kind of like video clips but all effects are calculated real-time by your graphics card (like games do).

You can learn more about the demoscene in wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demoscene

You can also download demos (which also include the music) at http://www.pouet.net and http://www.scene.org .

Finally, all tracks that we play on the Planet Risk Show are freely available to download.

The styles vary greatly, from electronica to dubstep to even progressive metal.

I love the music in the shows and was wondering how I can purchase some of the tracks but also how I find other tracks of a similar style.

I think it is Electronica and possibly an Industrial sub-genre but when I looked on iTunes I couldn't find any of the tracks listed and had a list of thousands of tracks even when specifying a sub-genre?

Any tips on how you came across the tracks would be much appreciated.
