Thoughts on using plates… or not! – Take 2

Luminus said to me yesterday: “Oh my – what a fail post did you do?! So much wrong info you go in there it makes me want to eat Fedos for breakfast just to get my stomach straightened”

Granted, the first post had some bad information and calculations – but the theory is there, the practice shows us that this is the way to go vs Sleepers, so I had to dig deeper and actually learned quite a few on how Resistances / Tanking works ;-)

So sometimes you post, or sometimes you post, you get feedback, you edit, you get more feedback, admit you are a total newb, cry for hours and then repost…

EvEHQ Prism – Blueprint Manager 101

We wanted to have a clear understanding of how much T3 Strategic Cruisers actually costs us to manufacture, what is our profit margin, raw material cost etc so we could set some prices for our corpmembers to gain access to T3 Strategic Cruisers.

It all came down to getting the information you need, and EvEHQ was there to automate the process. I decided to post a quick guide since many of you might need to use it for a similar situation. Proteus Class 5-6 Utility Ship

I’ve just created a fitting and uploaded to Battleclinic.com from the suggested Proteus “Army Knife” Utility Fitting we talked about in Episode 5.

We’d appreciate any constructive feedback either here or in the Battleclinic.com page.

The role of the ship is to be able to Salvage while at the same time help with the RR gang during a Class 5-6 PVE operation.

The DPS of this fit is with Drones (360 DPS using Garde II’s) and it has about 55K EHP with 88% – 94% armor resists, so it can tank as well as put some DPS in a Class 5 RR gang.

It’s cap stable running the Remote Armor Rep when it’s getting Remote Energy Transfer (designed with that in mind) while at the same time it can tractor and salvage wrecks from 40KM away. Mids can change depending on Mag/Radar sites.

Role Bonuses from T3 subsystems (per subsystem level):

10% Probe Scan Strength
5% Armor Resistances
10% Remote Armor Repair System Effectiveness
20% Range and Velocity of Tractor Beams
10% Drone Damage
5% Drone MWD Speed
15% Drone Hitpoints
15% Reduction in AB / MWD Cap usage
