Have you seen these guys?
Posted by Luminus Aardokay in News, Wspace Operations on April 15, 2011

We did.. twice in Planet Risk.. and finally up close and personal. These gentlemen dear readers, are the guys whose butt we kicked on the Valentine Day Massacre… and who kicked our butts on the Steak and Blowjob Massacre. Guillotine Therapy corp, from the Rooks and Kings.
As much as we hated them back in the days for ruining our almost year long op in W-space, up close and personal they’re one of the coolest guys around, with a formidable approach to the game. Gotta say that I loved their input and standpoints in the Wormhole roundtable. Too bad the roundtable itself was chaotic and totally out of sync.
Expect a video interview with Guillotine Theraphy uploaded Soon™
To Be, or Not to Be… such is the way of PvP

Greetings my fellow corp men, women, & blog readers!!!
If given a choice to either run plexes for isk or go lose some isk pvping? I would gladly choose the later of the two. NPC AI just bores the snot out of me. I equate it to my early arcade game experience with Pac Man (yes I am dating myself). Once you discover the correct route (or tactic) against the computer, you cannot fail. It is just a matter of repeating the same course of action again and again that dictates success.
However meeting another player will never reproduce the same fight or outcome. It is just human nature. We adapt to overcome. So in each engagement, though we may have particular tactic that works most of the time, we must be prepared that it may not work. This is what makes pvp exciting. You always have the anxiety of the unexpected, and the thrill of success or the disappointment of failure. No matter which you experience you learn from it and then desire to go at it again. Probably more so in defeat, if only to prove to yourself… that won’t happen again! Read the rest of this entry »

Greetings my fellow corp men, women, & blog readers!!!
***Disclaimer*** This guide represents the way I go about scouting out Wormholes. The loss of any ship while attempting what is discussed below will be your own damn fault. It also assumes you know the basic mechanics of exploration scanning. (Exploration Guide & Exploration Tutorial) Any reference to a noob is merely tongue in cheek reference to the author’s own repeated mistakes.
So now that you have some of the basics of wormhole scouting… how do you put it all together? Read the rest of this entry »

Ok so you want to put your exploration skills to the test? There will be few things that you will need before you decide to venture into wormhole (WH) space. The first will be the skills, second is the hardware, third situational awareness, and finally how to use all three to your advantage. Lacking in anyone of these can only lead to the loss of another ship, and end up with an immediate clone jump back to your chosen station. Depending on whether you are simply Read the rest of this entry »
“Burn them all”… wait! what?

I personally loved the Dominion Trailer but I admit I saw the last few seconds where ze Russians move in to take over the system with a grin on my face…
You might recall the Siege on Planet Risk * we had back in the Class 2 beginning of September, where we managed to protect our POS against a Russian corp from the xX Shadow of Death Xx alliance.
* hence the grin… :-p
We also had quite a few dealings with Russian PVPers last week, where we simply got pwnd… Some lessons learned there (wait for the next PR show for details).
So I began to think how come and so many Russian folks wander in wormholes…
Perhaps the image discovered by Therem Harth gives a clue to why wormholes are so popular to Russian players…
In any case, I just want to point out that I have no prejudice nor hard feelings for any Russians playing the game. In real life I work daily with a team of Russian folks and I am proud to call some of them my friends… Hmm.. maybe I should show them that Dominion trailer and hook them up with EvE! :-p
Мне бы хотелось побывать в вашей стране!
На здоровье!
300M or you die!!!!1 – the topic for our next show!
Posted by Quivering Palm in News, Upcoming Shows on July 26, 2009
That’s what showed up on the Local channel of our very own wormhole system – Planet Risk – yesterday.
At the time there was Merinid in his Hulk mining some rocks and myself sleeping in our POS, while Sengiria was hauling the ore back in the hangar.
All where AFKing… all? well not all…
A guy with some big set of steel inertia stabilizers (yeah you got that mental picture right) was not AFK but instead warped to our Hulk and we saw that sweet line in Local… “300M or you die!”
To keep the story short, the hulk died and the guy left since we where too slow to respond..
Given this incident and a couple of recent posts I found (troll) relating to Piracy and Wormholes – we decided to make our first “official” episode of The Planet Risk Show have a YAARRR theme
